Dear Friends,
This month, we celebrate the joys of spring, the strength of mothers, and the beauty of shared moments in our community. As we also pause to honor our heroes on Memorial Day. In this issue, we will share important updates, upcoming events, and ways to stay connected.

In April, we got to see and hear and Oregon State Secretary, Tobias Read talk about the duties of his office. We also celebrated Mr. Krishnamurthyji's birthday. Please see the photos below.

Elaine Lawrence from Washington County, DAVS department will be providing information about in home care services for seniors.
Washington County Disability, Aging, and Veteran Services (DAVS) provides programs that support older adults, adults with disabilities, veterans, and their family members. These can include financial benefits, caregiver support, Medicare counseling, veteran services, in-home caregiving, and more. The Aging and Disability Resource Connection is part of DAVS and connects people with many resources in the community. They specialize in long term care planning through options counseling to support families in making informed decisions about care.

Every weekend, group of enthusiastic nature lovers go for hiking. If you are interested in joining this group, please email us at office@ovapdx.com
ASIO Inter-generational Book Club
We will conclude discussing the book, "The Overstory" by Richard Powers in May. Usually, our meetings are held on the last Friday of the month via zoom. We have additional spaces in the Book club, if you are interested in joining our book club email us at office@ovapdx.com.
Our next book is the "Dream State" by Eric Punchner.
