Photojournalism has long helped people learn more about the world around them and empathize with diverse people in ways that few other mediums allow. At the same time, with the rise of social media, sophisticated photo editing, and artificial intelligence, images have also contributed to the rapid spread of misinformation. In this workshop, participants will learn about the history of photography in India and the processes involved in ethical photojournalism. In addition, participants will learn how to distinguish between authentic photographs and manipulated images, gaining an understanding of photo editing techniques and the role of digital media in shaping perceptions.
